The Gold Note Diana I is a compact, high-end loudspeaker that combines Italian design, innovative technology, and a remarkably mature sound reproduction. At the heart of the design is the combination of a 6.5-inch mid-woofer with a fiberglass cone and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter. The rear-facing bass reflex port supports deep and controlled bass reproduction. At the same time, the high efficiency of 88 dB allows it to be used even with relatively small amplifiers.
A particular strength of the Diana I is its exceptionally wide dispersion pattern. The specially developed metal phaser in front of the tweeter optimizes sound distribution and ensures a generous, even soundstage. This means that the sound reproduction remains convincing even outside the optimal listening position, making the speakers particularly suitable for living spaces.
For exceptional mechanical stability, Gold Note incorporates two resonance absorbers within the cabinet. These reduce unwanted cabinet vibrations and create a stable foundation for precise and detailed sound reproduction. The acoustically transparent, custom-made Italian grille protects the speakers without unnecessarily affecting their sound dispersion.
Sonically, the Gold Note Diana I presents itself as open, dynamic, and vibrant. Voices are reproduced with a full body and naturalness, while instruments remain clearly separated and retain their characteristic timbres. Even fine details are cleanly rendered without the sound becoming analytical or fatiguing.
In the bass range, the compact Diana I delivers a surprising amount of substance. Low frequencies sound controlled, rhythmically precise, and powerful. The option of placing the speaker close to a wall is particularly practical, allowing it to be flexibly integrated into various living situations.
Furthermore, the Diana I offers an interesting modular expansion concept. With the optional Diana III-F bass module, the compact speaker can be upgraded to a powerful floorstanding speaker system. This allows the system to be specifically adapted to increasing demands and larger rooms later on.
