The Dynaudio Confidence 20i is the compact passive loudspeaker in the high-end Confidence i series. The two-way system combines advanced acoustic technologies such as the Esotar 3i tweeter, the DDC 3.0 system (Dynaudio Directivity Control) and a redesigned crossover in a space-saving format – without compromising acoustic performance.

Precise sound direction with the Esotar 3i tweeter

The Esotar 3i tweeter utilizes a powerful neodymium magnet system. Combined with the newly developed DDC Lens (Dynaudio Directivity Control), the dispersion pattern is vertically focused and horizontally widened. This ensures that direct sound waves reach the listening position with pinpoint accuracy, while minimizing disruptive reflections from the ceiling and floor. The result is a wide, precisely defined soundstage.

Controlled bass and structured midrange

In the low-frequency range, an 18 cm NeoTec MSP driver (magnesium silicate polymer) is used. The combination of an extremely rigid fiberglass voice coil former and a highly flexible aluminum voice coil ensures maximum control, low mass, and excellent damping. Bass reproduction remains powerful and punchy even at high volumes, while the midrange is reproduced with high resolution and without coloration.

Integrated enclosure and bass reflex design

The down-firing bass reflex system works directly in conjunction with the specially designed stand as a closed system. The sound is directed downwards and then emitted laterally in a controlled manner. This design makes the Confidence 20i extremely easy to position and insensitive to placement close to a wall.

Seamless crossover

The minimalist crossover design seamlessly integrates the mid-bass and tweeter drivers. The transition between the drivers is acoustically invisible, guaranteeing homogeneous sound reproduction across the entire frequency range and consistent performance in different listening environments.
