Audio Technica AT-OC9XEN – Dual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge
The AT-OC9XEN belongs to the latest generation of Audio-Technica's renowned OC9 series and is aimed at discerning vinyl enthusiasts who demand the highest precision and detail. As a dual moving-coil cartridge, it impresses with a particularly wide frequency response, excellent channel separation, and an extremely precise stereo image.
Equipped with a nude, elliptical diamond stylus in a square-shank design, the AT-OC9XEN enables exceptionally precise stylus alignment and accurate tracking of the record groove. The reduced moving mass, combined with the aluminum cantilever, ensures a finely resolved sound image with high dynamics and outstanding detail reproduction.
For optimal signal transmission, Audio-Technica uses high-purity PCOCC copper wire (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting), which minimizes losses and enables exceptionally clean audio reproduction. A powerful neodymium magnet, combined with a pure iron yoke, also ensures high magnetic energy and thus precise signal conversion.
The sturdy aluminum housing minimizes unwanted vibrations and resonances, resulting in clear, unadulterated sound reproduction. Integrated threaded holes allow for particularly easy and secure mounting of the pickup – without the need for any additional nuts.
