This system is aimed at listeners seeking a technically consistent, mechanically and electrically precise analog source – without any experimental combinations. The turntable, two identical reference tonearms, and a matched MC cartridge result in a coherent solution of the highest caliber.

Design and drive: Control through substance

The Ascona Neo is designed as a high-mass turntable with maximum structural rigidity. The chassis is made of solid aluminum and utilizes CLD (Constrained Layer Damping) technology in its most advanced form. The goal is not cosmetic damping, but rather the targeted control of micro-vibrations within the material structure.

The 335 mm platter is deliberately oversized. The standard version uses a solid aluminum platter with integrated silencer technology .
54 individually calculated damping modules (24 inside, 30 outside) effectively reduce platter resonances. An optional sandwich version with a brass interlayer (48 silencer modules) is available, which further increases the moment of inertia.

At the heart of the mechanism is the DTD® bearing (Dura Turn Diamond® Bearing) . The diamond-coated spindle operates within an extremely rigid, precision-machined bearing assembly. The result is exceptionally low friction combined with high long-term stability – crucial for smooth running and fine dynamics.

Triple motorization & digital motor control

Three completely isolated AC motors drive the platter in a controlled manner. This configuration distributes the torque evenly, reduces belt stress, and minimizes lateral forces on the bearing.

The external DMC-20 motor controller with multi-voltage power supply handles precise control. Integrated AVC Level 3 (Automatic Vibration Control) technology actively monitors and compensates for motor vibrations. The result is stable synchronization even under real load conditions – audibly characterized by clearly defined transients and stable spatial imaging.

An integrated control panel on the drive allows for convenient speed selection and control.

TA-7000 tonearm Neo 9' – maximum flexibility

The adjustable arm base with interchangeable armboard allows for precise adjustments and subsequent modifications. The turntable is designed to accommodate up to three 9- to 12-inch tonearms.

MCX4 Moving Coil – precise signal acquisition

The pre-mounted MCX4 is a moving-coil cartridge that translates the turntable's mechanical stability into electrical precision. Its rapid impulse response and fine detail resolution harmonize perfectly with the Ascona Neo's controlled drive concept. The tuning is neutral, dynamic, and designed for long-term listening stability.

Installation & mechanical decoupling

The Ascona Neo rests on a solid aluminum base plate with a three-point architecture. Specially designed, damped, and height-adjustable feet ensure precise coupling and controlled decoupling from the surface. The construction is designed for reproducible setup and long-term stability.
