This analog set combines the Hurricane NEO turntable, the TA-5000 NEO tonearm, and the MCX4 moving-coil cartridge into a highly precise, sonically superior system for discerning vinyl enthusiasts. Each component has been developed to ensure maximum dynamics, detail, and musicality.
DRIVE – HURRICANE NEO
The Hurricane NEO represents the entry point into Acoustic Signature's multi-motor drive concept. With two integrated, fully isolated AC motors and the external digital motor controller DMC-20 including AVC technology Level 1, it delivers exceptional smoothness and explosive microdynamics.
The extremely rigid DTD® bearing with diamond-coated spindle ensures precise and stable rotation. Eight silencer modules minimize platter resonances, while the aluminum housing with CLD technology ensures controlled resonance behavior.
The turntable is prepared for three tonearms and offers up to three adjustable armboards for 9- to 12-inch tonearms, ensuring maximum flexibility for different setups.
TONEARM – TA-5000 NEO
The TA-5000 NEO features a carbon triple-layer tonearm tube that effectively controls resonances and ensures precise cartridge tracking. This is complemented by a pre-loaded, high-precision ceramic and stainless steel gimbal bearing for virtually frictionless movement and optimal tracking characteristics.
The high-quality internal wiring made of 4N silver and the included Atlas Equator phono cable guarantee low-loss signal transmission. VTA, azimuth, and anti-skating adjustments allow the tonearm to be precisely tuned to different cartridges.
The TA-5000 NEO is available in 9-inch or 12-inch versions and is mounted via the SME standard.
MCX4
The MCX4 is the flagship model of the MCX series. Its Nude Shibata stylus ensures precise tracking, while gold-plated OFC copper coils transmit signals with exceptional accuracy. The CNC-machined, resonance-optimized aluminum housing minimizes vibrations and supports clear, dynamic, and musical sound reproduction.
With its compliance, the MCX4 is ideally suited for medium to heavy tonearms such as the TA-5000 NEO.
