Technics SL-1200 G:

The SL-1200G will also have a magnesium tonearm instead of - as originally planned - aluminum. Numerous listening tests have confirmed that the magnesium version has proven to be clearly superior to the aluminum version. For visual differentiation, the finish of the tonearm tube on the SL-1200G is roughened a little more matt, which makes the surface structure appear pleasantly modern and dynamic.

The damping material of the absorber feet in the SL-1200G - similar to the SL-1200GAE - consists of a complex silicone-rubber mixture. In addition to its elasticity, this is characterized above all by a high proportion of plastic damping properties, which means an enormous degree of absorption of vibrations. Due to the unlimited number of pieces, Technics only uses another supplier for this material. The visual difference to the limited version are the significantly darker damping feet on the SL-1200G.

Availability

Since the SL-1200G is largely handcrafted 'made in Japan', the production capacity remains limited. Due to the extremely high level of interest in the limited SL-1200GAE version, a similarly high demand can be expected for the SL-1200G model, so that delivery delays and waiting times of up to 2 months between order and actual delivery cannot be ruled out.

Nagaoka JT-80BK

The black JT-80BK (Black) cartridge is the top model of the new series. A naked elliptical cut diamond is attached to its boron needle carrier. The sound image can be described as extremely round and neutral. In the highs as well as in the bass range it shows a high level of detail.
