TD 1600 WITH TP160 TONEARM
Discover the TD 1600 with the innovative TP 160 tonearm - an advanced evolution of the popular TD1600. This record player is characterized by a classic wooden frame, a two-part, precisely turned aluminum platter with a ground internal drive belt. The external linear power supply TPN 1600 has a powerful toroidal transformer that supplies the synchronous motor with 2x 16V to ensure optimal synchronization of the plate.
The newly developed tonearm TP 160, designed by the renowned designer Helmut Thiele, is equipped with an ultra-precise cutting bearing. The J-shaped 9" tonearm with SME headshell connection is based on the shape of famous studio tonearms. The blade of the horizontal bearing is additionally stabilized by magnets to ensure extremely precise scanning of the record.
The sub-chassis with three springs is not mounted on the top board, but on the floor. A tensioned steel thread along the motor roller - plate axis prevents lateral wobbling and ensures that the subchassis oscillates as piston-shaped as possible.
Professional connection options are guaranteed by the balanced outputs (XLR). Due to the high gain of the phono signal, it is sensitive to electrical interference. The balanced connection via XLR sockets enables a trouble-free connection between the turntable and the phono preamplifier. To use the True Balanced Connection, a turntable with a moving coil (MC) cartridge is required.
