Nagaoka Vinyl Care Set Intensive

With this cleaning kit from Nagaoka, vinyl enthusiasts receive a precisely calibrated system for the intensive cleaning of even heavily soiled records. The combination of high-quality cleaning agents and carefully designed accessories enables a complete, manual three-phase cleaning process – ideal for users who want to preserve the original sonic character of their records for the long term.

Stage 1 – Thorough pre-cleaning underwater

First, the record is secured in the CLP-02 label protector to ensure the delicate label remains reliably dry. Then, the initial wet cleaning takes place: Using a drop of mild dish soap and the WCL-222 wet brush, the record is cleaned on both sides in a circular motion under running, lukewarm water. This pre-wash effectively removes coarse particles and surface deposits.
After rinsing, the remaining water residue is carefully removed with a folded CLV-30 cleaning cloth – the ideal basis for the subsequent deep cleaning.

Stage 2 – Deep treatment with SPW01 cleaning spray

The pre-cleaned record is placed on the non-slip RecordWorkmat . From a distance of approximately 5 to 10 cm, 2–4 sprays of the SPW-01cleaning spray are then applied, evenly distributed across the entire record side. The liquid is then worked into the grooves using the WCL-111 velvet brush until the surface is completely coated.
Then, thoroughly dry the surface with a second, freshly folded CLV-30 cleaning cloth to remove any loosened residue. Repeat this process on the other side.

Stage 3 – Protection & Finish with SP-558

For the final care result, the SP-558 cleaning spray is applied from a distance of approximately 15 to 20 cm in 2–3 even passes along the groove. Using the CL-120 velvet brush, the product is distributed evenly and worked deep into the groove structure. Wiping the brush in one direction afterwards ensures a clean finish. Then, allow the surface to dry briefly.
This step is also repeated on the second side of the record.

Result – cleanliness, care and a noticeably quieter sound.

Through a combination of mechanical pre-washing, targeted deep cleaning, and a final conditioning treatment, the Nagaoka system offers optimal conditions for a thoroughly cleaned record. Dust, deposits, and stubborn dirt are reliably removed, reducing tracking noise and audibly improving detail.
