The McIntosh MA2375 AC marks the return of a fully tube-based integrated amplifier to the McIntosh lineup – combining classic tube technology with contemporary features and the characteristic virtues of the American high-end manufacturer. Designed for music lovers who value authentic sound reproduction and uncompromising craftsmanship, it unites preamplifier and power amplifier in a single, fully analog unit.
Tube technology with McIntosh DNA
In the power amplifier stage, four KT88 power tubes work together with four 12AT7 driver tubes to deliver 75 watts per channel. They are supported by the legendary Unity Coupled Output Transformers, which have been among McIntosh's defining technologies for decades. These transformers ensure exceptionally low-distortion power output and masterful control of a wide range of loudspeakers. The preamplifier section, with two 12AX7A and two 12AT7 tubes, lends the sound the natural warmth, tonal richness, and musicality for which McIntosh tube amplifiers are renowned.
Iconic design
Visually, the MA2375 AC also adheres to the company's distinctive design philosophy. The iconic blue power meters meet a highly polished stainless steel chassis and the warm glow of the tubes. The result is an amplifier that impressively combines technical precision and classic elegance.
Individual sound tuning and headphone enjoyment
A discrete 5-band equalizer with bypass function is available for individual sound adjustment. Music lovers who frequently listen with headphones will also benefit from the integrated high-drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®), which ensures particularly natural and spatial sound reproduction.
Protection for maximum durability
Modern protection circuits ensure reliable and long-lasting operation. The Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor® (SGS) technology continuously monitors the current flow of the KT88 output tubes and intervenes automatically when necessary to ensure optimal operating conditions. This concept is complemented by the proven Sentry Monitor™, which protects the power amplifier from overload and resets itself automatically after a fault has been rectified.
Flexible connectivity options
With a total of six analog inputs, the MA2375 AC integrates flexibly into high-quality hi-fi systems. In addition to two balanced XLR inputs and three RCA high-level inputs, a sophisticated MM/MC phono stage is available. This allows adjustment of gain, capacitance, load impedance, and RIAA equalization, thus providing optimal conditions for demanding vinyl playback.
A variable preamplifier output allows for the integration of additional power amplifiers, while the separate subwoofer output enables the system to be expanded with an active subwoofer. Gold-plated Solid Cinch™ speaker terminals ensure permanently secure and corrosion-resistant connections.
Integration into modern audio systems
Furthermore, the MA2375 AC offers extensive integration options. Home Theater PassThru facilitates integration into existing home theater systems, Power Control and Data Ports enable the control of other McIntosh components, and the RS232 interface supports professional automation solutions. Operation is conveniently managed via the included remote control.
