The Luxman CL-1000 is the new flagship of tube preamplifiers, combining classic tube technology with state-of-the-art precision. Inspired by the legendary C-1000 from 1975, it elevates music reproduction to a new level and harmonizes perfectly with high-end power amplifiers such as the MQ-300. The cabinet, crafted from natural walnut with a rosewood gloss finish, exudes elegance and warmth, while its technology meets the highest sonic demands.

Transformer-based volume control LECUTA

At the heart of the CL-1000 is the Luxman Electronically Controlled Ultimate Transformer Attenuator (LECUTA). The volume control utilizes 34 electronic relays that precisely activate taps on the left and right transformers. Thanks to Hitachi Metals' FINEMET® core material, a rich, detailed, and unadulterated sound is achieved even at low volumes.

Tube technology & SRPP circuit

Six E88CC tubes form the basis for a 2-stage amplification circuit in the phono, tone control, and line sections. The SRPP circuit ensures a linear frequency response, low output impedance, low distortion, and long tube life. Bass and treble controls offer three-step crossover frequencies, plus a low-cut switch at 30 Hz (-6 dB/octave).

The phono preamplifier is designed for MM and MC cartridges, including step-up transformers and a two-stage gain selector switch for MC systems.

Connections & Integration

Balanced and unbalanced line inputs allow for easy integration into high-end systems. The analog output signals are low-impedance buffered, ensuring optimal drive for any integrated amplifier.
