Newly developed 2.0 audio board with OPA1602 operational amplifiers
At the heart of the sonic optimization is the completely redesigned 2.0 audio board. It utilizes seven OPA1602 operational amplifiers, renowned for their exceptionally low noise and high precision. The result is a significant reduction in distortion, precise signal reproduction, and remarkably clear, detailed sound reproduction – with the natural ease of true high-end components.
TMDS retiming for HDMI audio
The motherboard has been enhanced with a TMDS retiming function on the HDMI audio port. This technology compensates for random jitter, improves signal quality and load stability, and delivers further enhanced HDMI audio performance. Microdynamics, spatial imaging, and detail are noticeably improved – especially in high-quality multi-channel setups.
Optimized USB 3.0 system with isolated power supply
An integrated USB 3.0 hub chip and a newly designed, isolated power supply increase compatibility and stability when using USB flash drives and external hard drives. At the same time, data transfer security and speed are improved – for uninterrupted playback of high-resolution audio and video files.
High-quality internal wiring and industrial connectors
The entire device uses high-purity copper conductors. The internal PCB connectors have been upgraded to high-quality components from JST and Amphenol. These measures increase mechanical and electrical stability and contribute significantly to long-term reliability and consistently high signal quality.

As a Roon Ready certified device, the UDP800 MKII automatically connects to the Roon music platform – without any manual configuration.
