With the Unico DM, Unison Research presents the new flagship power amplifier of the Unico series. The model features a completely redesigned look, combining modern styling with elegant lines. Together with the Unico PRE**, the Unico DM introduces the new stylistic concept for the entire Unico family.
Design & Construction
The 15-millimeter-thick front panel is machined from a solid block of aluminum. This construction conveys exceptional solidity and underscores the high manufacturing quality. The surfaces in Midnight Black or Velvet Gold add precise accents and emphasize the clearly defined contours of the device. The finely textured surface not only looks high-quality but also offers a satisfying tactile experience.
A 2-millimeter-thick aluminum cover extends across the entire housing. This construction reinforces the impression of robustness and ensures a formal unity in the overall design. The lines remain clean, minimalist, and consistently implemented.
Wooden inlays incorporate the historic Unico logo, establishing a deliberate connection to the brand identity. This detail references the series' design tradition and integrates it into the new design concept.
A distinctive element is the Unison Research logo itself, which functions as an on/off switch. This solution combines functionality and design into a clear, minimalist gesture and underscores the high standard of attention to detail.
