Compact but a true McIntosh
At first glance, the McIntosh MTI100 Integrated Turntable may look like a simple turntable, but upon closer inspection you realize it's actually much more. It was designed for those who want maximum flexibility in their home audio system but don't have the space for a large audio system in their home. With all the built-in connectivity the MTI100 offers, it can become the centerpiece of a modern home audio system for the modern lifestyle. Just add the speakers of your choice and you have a complete audio system.
McIntosh MTI100 Integrated Turntable
In addition to the turntable, which plays both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm vinyl records, the MTI100 features a power amplifier, a tube preamp section, a shielded phono preamp, an unbalanced input (RCA), coaxial and optical digital inputs, a Bluetooth receiver, a subwoofer output, stereo speaker outputs and a headphone jack for personal playback.
The platter weighs 3 kg and is made of bevelled aluminium. The tonearm, made of the same material, sits on the same 9.5mm thick glass used for the front of the large McIntosh amplifiers. Underneath is a 6.35 mm thick metal plate that provides stability. The combination of the platter and metal plate helps to dampen and absorb annoying vibrations.
The belt-driven platter with manual speed change is powered by an industrial-grade permanent magnet AC synchronous motor with a 2-speed pulley. With this motor, the speed of the turntable is precisely synchronized with the frequency of the AC mains to ensure a precise rotation speed. The MTI100 features a Sumiko Olympia Moving Magnet pickup with an improved stylus and cantilever arrangement for more dynamics and improved frequency response.
The integrated amplifier
The integrated class D amplifier has an output of 80 watts per channel into 4 ohms or 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Two 12AX7 vacuum tubes feed the main preamp section, while a separate phono preamp is housed in a specially shielded box. It prevents interference or noise from affecting the sensitive analog signal.

But the MTI 100 can also be digital: you can integrate your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. An external Bluetooth antenna ensures optimal reception and optimal signal quality. External sources such as televisions, tuners or CD players can be connected via the analogue and digital audio inputs. A subwoofer output is also available so that the effect of low audio frequencies is not neglected.
headphone amplifier
For customized listening pleasure, there is a headphone jack on the front, powered by the High Drive headphone amplifier, which has increased gain and power output and is optimized for virtually all headphone types. Power, volume and input selection can be controlled either via the supplied remote control or via two buttons on the device.
The illuminated McIntosh logo is located in the top glass panel, while the classic McIntosh-style die-cast aluminum nameplate adorns the front of the case.
