Clearaudio Compact Phono – Precise signal processing in a compact format
The Clearaudio Compact Phono is a highly flexible phono preamplifier that combines sophisticated vinyl playback with extremely compact dimensions. Designed for the clean amplification and processing of sensitive cartridge signals, the preamplifier can be easily integrated into existing hi-fi systems.
Two-stage circuit design and precise RIAA equalization
Inside, a low-noise, two-stage circuit operates on a high-quality, four-layer PCB. This design ensures strict signal separation and minimizes interference. Precise RIAA equalization delivers a linear, balanced sound. An integrated subsonic/ultrasonic filter effectively eliminates low-frequency interference and high-frequency noise, ensuring a pure and unaltered signal is passed on to the main amplifier.
Maximum compatibility for MM and MC
The operating mode can be easily switched between Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) directly at the touch of a button. With a gain of 40 dB in MM mode and 60 dB in MC mode, the Compact Phono covers a wide range of common cartridge systems and offers optimal adjustment options without complex configurations.
Housing design and space requirements
With dimensions of just 80 × 115 × 26 mm and a weight of approximately 310 g, the phono preamplifier requires minimal space. The solid metal housing effectively protects the sensitive electronics from external electromagnetic interference and is available in either black or silver.
