This premium analog set combines the Acoustic Signature Montana NEO turntable, the TA-7000 NEO 9-inch tonearm, and the MCX4 moving-coil cartridge into an uncompromising solution for discerning vinyl enthusiasts. Every single component is designed for the highest precision, control, and sonic authenticity – for music reproduction with impressive composure, dynamics, and depth of detail.
DRIVE – MONTANA NEO
The Montana NEO embodies the essence of modern mass-loaded turntable technology in a compact form. Its development incorporated all of Acoustic Signature's expertise into a turntable that sets new standards in its class. Despite its comparatively compact dimensions, the Montana NEO delivers top-tier sound quality.
Three fully isolated AC motors, in conjunction with the external digital motor controller DMC-20 and AVC Level 3 technology (Automatic Vibration Control), ensure exceptionally stable and low-resonance rotation. The ultra-rigid DTD® bearing with diamond-coated spindle guarantees maximum precision and long-term smooth running.
The 13 kg aluminum platter is equipped with 24 silencer modules that effectively minimize platter resonances. The 65 mm thick aluminum chassis with CLD (Constrained Layer Damping) technology further optimizes the resonance behavior and creates a confident, controlled sound reproduction with a deep black background.
The speed-controlled sub-platter dual belt drive with fine adjustment allows for precise speed control. The integrated control panel ensures convenient operation.
The Montana NEO comes standard with two adjustable tonearm bases. One armboard is custom-fitted to the TA-7000 NEO, while the second is a closed, blank armboard. This makes the turntable compatible with up to two 9- to 12-inch tonearms.
TONEARM – TA-7000 NEO (9 inch)
The TA-7000 NEO in its 9-inch version represents state-of-the-art tonearm technology at a reference level. Its conical carbon tonearm tube with integrated 3D damping effectively reduces inherent resonances and ensures exceptionally clean tracking.
The pre-tensioned, frictionless, high-precision gimbal ball bearing ensures maximum tracking accuracy, even during complex musical passages. The internal wiring made of 4N pure silver, combined with the Atlas Equator phono cable, guarantees lossless signal transmission of the highest quality.
VTA, azimuth, and anti-skating adjustments allow for precise adaptation to high-quality MC cartridges such as the MCX4. The precision-machined brass counterweight supports optimal balance. Mounting is via the SME standard.
MCX4
The MCX4 moving-coil cartridge is the reference model of the MCX series and was developed for maximum resolution and dynamics. The Nude Shibata stylus profile enables exceptionally precise groove tracking and excellent high-frequency resolution.
Gold-plated OFC copper coils ensure low-loss signal transmission, while the resonance-optimized CNC-machined aluminum housing minimizes unwanted vibrations.
With its compliance, the MCX4 harmonizes ideally with the medium-weight TA-7000 NEO in the 9-inch version and forms a sonically balanced, highly dynamic unit with the Montana NEO.
