The Thorens TD 124 DD Exclusive is a consistently refined, high-end version of the multi-award-winning TD 124 DD. Building upon the limited 140th Anniversary Edition, this model has been specifically equipped with components designed for uncompromising analog playback in terms of construction, materials, and electrical configuration. The result is a turntable that combines classic Thorens DNA with modern precision and is clearly aimed at listeners who appreciate technical substance and sonic authenticity.

At the heart of the concept is the new 12-inch tonearm, the TP 124. Its greater effective length significantly reduces tracking error compared to shorter arms, resulting in lower distortion, particularly in the inner grooves of the record. The tonearm features internal wiring with pure silver , ensuring minimal contact resistance and high conductivity throughout the signal path from the cartridge to the outputs.

A specially tuned cartridge was developed by EMT Tontechnik (Switzerland) to match the tonearm. Its design is based on the classic EMT "resonance can" from professional broadcasting technology, but has been mechanically and electrically optimized for the TP-124 tonearm. The integrated SME connector ensures a stable, precise connection and high compatibility.
